Brew York are releasing a limited edition cask ale to celebrate York City’s promotion and return to the English Football League.
The Brewery, founded by Lee Grabham and Wayne Smith, regularly show their support for York with collaborations including: York City Knights Rugby League, York Minster, Shed Seven – and of course, York City Football Club.

Brew York co-founder and managing director, Wayne Smith said; “First off, we’re all incredibly proud of York City Football Club as everyone else in the city is. They’ve had an incredible season and finished in the most nail-biting way but were deserved champions.
“Releasing Minstermen Pride is just our way of acknowledging the fantastic achievement of York City as it means so much to us all.”
Minstermen Pride has been released over the years and can often be seen regularly pouring at the York Community Stadium as a keg beer – however this new celebratory release is a limited-edition cask ale. The beer, at 4.1% abv, is a light and citrusy session pale ale.
“Putting Minstermen Pride in cask is perhaps a more traditional approach – but that’s
fitting considering York City Football Club was founded over 100 years ago,” Wayne added.
“It’s times like these where we have pride in our heritage, look to the future and celebrate our successes. And that’s certainly something we can raise a glass to.”
Minstermen Pride will be pouring at various Brew York venues, including the Old Grey
Mare in Clifton and Walmgate Taproom and Beer Hall, as well as other pubs across the
city from next week.
