An award winning comedian is bringing his brand new show to East Yorkshire.
Rob Rouse – recently crowned Comics’ Comic Best Act of the Year 2025 by The UK Comedy Awards and also voted Best Act at the 2025 Yorkshire Comedy Awards – brings his brand-new stand-up show Funny Bones to Pocklington Arts Centre on Thursday 12 March 2026.
Appearing on BBC’s Upstart Crow, 8 Out of 10 Cats, The Friday Night Project, Dave’s One Night Stand and more, Rouse is one of the UK comedy circuit’s most respected performers.
Rob first rose to prominence after winning Channel 4’s So You Think You’re Funny Award at the Edinburgh Festival in 1998.
Since then, he has built a reputation for his joyous silliness, infectious energy and masterful storytelling. He’s toured all over the world from Australia to Just for Laughs Festival Montreal, and done three UK Solo tours and 12 critically acclaimed Edinburgh Festival shows – and performed in two sold out West End runs of ‘Upstart Crow The Play’.
Rob’s latest live show Funny Bones is a high-spirited evening packed with tall tales, pitch-perfect characters, and daft flights of fancy.
Rob’s hell-bent on making you belly laugh throughout, so much so, you may well leave the show slightly dafter than when you came in!
The tour marks Rob’s return to solo touring, following recent support slots with Nina Conti, Kerry Godliman, Rory Bremner and Marcus Brigstocke.
Tickets are £16 and can be booked via the Pocklington Arts Centre website.
