A serious crash has closed a road in York today.
The Yorkshire Air Ambulance was called to the collision, on York Road, Haxby, at about 10.30am.
Some reports suggest that it involved a cyclist, although this has not been confirmed.
The road is still closed due to crash investigation work both ways between Holly Tree Lane and Eastfield Avenue.
North Yorkshire Police said: “We are at the scene of a serious collision on York Road in Haxby and the road is currently closed.
“Please avoid the area if at all possible.”
