A long stretch of the A1(M) is closed due to a serious crash today (Thursday, 16 April).
The crash involved a lorry and a pedestrian at Darrington.
The road is closed in both directions from the M62 junction near Ferrybridge and Barndsdale Bar (junctions 41-39).
A West Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: “There are significant delays in the area, please avoid the area whilst we deal with the incident.”
