Brew’d is a new community coffee company that has made its home inside York Designer Outlet, and serving up a variety of coffee, pastries, and lunch options.
Owned and run by George Penn and Olly Lambert, they are passionate about supporting local producers, championing locally sourced ingredients, and collaborating with York and Yorkshire suppliers – and they love coffee!
Brew’d aims to be a ‘perfect place to relax, recharge and enjoy exceptional coffee.’
The cafe officially opened on Wednesday 18 February, and nearly a month since opening the reaction has been very positive. It already has a 4.8 out of 5 on Google reviews, with comments such as ‘What a fantastic coffee shop, the owners are great and the coffee is outstanding’ and another saying its ‘Easily the best cafe I have been to.’
Coffees start from £3.30, with iced and syrup options too. There is also matcha, iced tea, hot chocolate, and a wide range of teas too. All of their espresso drinks are made with a double shot of their 106 house blend espresso, roasted locally by York Coffee Emporium.
Sweet treats might also include almond croissants, jam & custard cruffins, rhubarb and custard danish, cinnamon buns, fruit scones, and much more.

Over the next few months, George and Olly are hoping to create and welcome community coffee meets – so if you are a local book group, craft group, running club looking for a place to meet, just get in touch.
Brew’d is open at York Designer Outlet from Monday to Saturday 9:30am to 8pm, and 10am to 6pm on Sundays.
