Youths suspected of smoking cannabis in village south of York

Police are investigating concerns about youths smoking drugs in a village between Selby and York.

Officers say they have been made aware of “possible cannabis smoking” in Riccall.

Richard Wood of North Yorkshire Police said: “It has been brought to the attention of the police that youths have been congregating at the Bothy / sheltered area situated next to Northfield Lane, Riccall.

“This is reported to be taking place in the evening and well into the early hours of the morning, If anybody witnesses this or has any further information, please do not hesitate to contact the Police on 101 or online.”
