A fire was started close to a York road last night (Sunday).
Firefighters were called to the incident near Huntington Road at 5.11pm.
A North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service spokesperson said: “York responded to a small fire in the open measuring 2 by 2 metres which was out on their arrival.
“The fire had consisted of branches set by youths seen in the area.
“Crews inspected the area to ensure the fire was fully extinguished before leaving the incident. Police informed.”
