A York pub that was brought back to life with a huge investment in the autumn is now looking for a new manager.
Gibsons, the landmark pub next to Micklegate Bar, was left closed and empty for five years after the previous owners moved on.
Then last year Heineken-owned Star Pubs spent £550,000 on a major renovation project and it reopened last October.
The refurbishment included a new back bar, renovated bar counter, exposed brickwork, new seating, new artwork and improved lighting.
At the time, manager Robin Atkinson said: “We’ve put a great team together and everyone’s done a great job getting it to where it is now. We’re raring to go.”

Now though Robin is moving on and Star Pubs is advertising for a new manager.
A spokesperson from Star Pubs said: “Robin has had a change in personal circumstances which mean that he won’t be running Gibsons in the long term.
“However, he is still there for the time being and the pub will remain open while we look for a new operator to take it on.
“Robin will continue to work within the Star Pubs managed operator estate.”

Star Pubs’ website says: “Gibsons has been transformed into a stylish premium pub with the ability to appeal to a varied customer base, including tourists, locals, and students and further boost the potential of the pub.”
The pub has an estimated annual turnover of £666,087, which gives estimated earnings of £54,481.
Food at Gibsons currently makes up 10% of the pub’s total sales.
The website adds: “If you’ve got the talent to manage a team, deliver great service, and know your local community, this is your chance to build a successful pub business.”
