A York man is facing a trial on a charge of attempted murder after he denied the allegation in court.
Dean Barker, 42, allegedly tried to murder a named woman at an address on Tudor Road, Acomb, York, on May 29.
He appeared at Leeds Crown Court today (Monday) when he pleaded not guilty to the allegation.
Judge Guy Kearl, the Recorder of Leeds, adjourned the case for a trial starting on 30 November.
It’s expected to last up to five days.
Mr Barker, of Tudor Road, Acomb, was remanded in custody until then.
