Crews from York and Acomb attended an incident involving a recently wood burning stove around 7pm yesterday (Sunday 17 November).
It had recently been installed in the domestic property.
Due to poor fitting, embers had escaped the flue and entered a wall cavity, causing a fire.
Crews used small tools to expose the wall and extinguish the embers.
