York City’s game against Chester is postponed after players test positive for Covid

York City’s game against Chester tomorrow (Saturday) has been postponed.

It follows a number of positive Covid tests in the Chester camp.

A new date will be arranged and announced in due course.

The game was due to see City get back into the action after their own two-week layoff following a player testing positive for coronavirus last month.

It means the club are building up a backlog of fixtures only a few weeks into the season.

Anyone that had already purchased a streaming pass for the game tomorrow and would like a refund should email [email protected] with the email you signed up to the stream with.

Programmes already printed and delivered will be used for the re-arranged fixture.

A York City spokesman said: “We send our best wishes to Chester and those affected at this time. Stay safe.”
