Woman suffers head injury in assault at York Station

A woman needed hospital treatment after being assaulted at York Station.

Now police have released this picture of a woman they want to talk to about the incident.

It happened at around 10.15am on Saturday 31 January. The victim left the toilets when she was pushed by another woman.

A British Transport Police spokesperson said: “The victim fell backwards and hit her head on a wall, sustaining a head injury that required hospital treatment.

“Officers believe the woman in the images could have information that may assist their enquiries.

“She is believed to have travelled to York from Newcastle.”
