Yellow level weather alerts are in force in parts of North Yorkshire this weekend.
The Met Office says there will be heavy rain across areas to the east of the A1 to the Yorkshire coast.
20-30 mm may fall fairly widely with a chance of 50 to 60 mm over high ground in a few places. Strong winds may accompany this heavy rain, particularly during the evening.
Following rainfall, surface temperatures, especially to the west of the A1, are expected to fall below freezing.
With surfaces left wet, ice is expected to form on untreated roads and may lead to hazardous travelling conditions.
