‘Stunning!’ ‘I’d be happy if they wore that all season…’
Just two of the very positive responses from fans to the new York City FC third shirt, unveiled today.
This is what the club said about the blue and black striped number: “Our third kit for the 2026/27 season is a nod to one of our most iconic kits in history.

“The black and blue striped kit is back and features our iconic old crest within a shield for a truly retro look and feel.
“The beauty is in its simplicity. The black collar is ribbed for added comfort and the back neck features a white York City lion.
“The Yorkshire rose and Hummel authenticity patch feature on the hem. The kit is also available in long sleeve.”
The third kit comes after the launch of the red home and yellow away shirts.
Unusually, each of the three different shirts comes with a different club badge.
In the video the players modelling the shirts are seen arriving in a DeLorean car like the one that starred in the Back To The Future movies.
The third shirt will go on sale at the club shop on Saturday.
