Snow is falling all around me… Children playing, having fun.
That perfectly describes the scenes on Shambles in York tonight (Friday) as the white stuff came down in flurries – even though it wasn’t that cold!
But then, we all know this is a magical street. And they have a way of wizarding up special moments…
The snow wasn’t real, of course, but created by snow machines up and down Britain’s most beautiful street.
And the shoppers, young and old, loved it. It was selfie heaven, and children ran about trying to catch the snow before it hit the ground.

The fake snow first fell in 2017 – but it melted away, along with many other activities, last year.
But this Christmas Snow On Shambles is back every Friday until the holidays. Unless the real stuff arrives of course!
