Watch: Feed newborn lambs and hunt for eggs – as York attraction marks two decades of Easter celebrations

A popular York attraction is inviting families to hop into spring – as they mark the return of its much loved Easter Eggstravaganza.

Piglets Adventure Farm, located on the outskirts of York, will celebrate the 22nd year of its annual seasonal event from Saturday 28 March to Sunday 19 April.

What started as a small, family run celebration with a simple egg hunt has, over more than two decades, evolved into a large-scale springtime festival – with generations of visitors returning year after year.

Visitors can look forward to a full day of springtime fun, including the ever-popular Easter egg hunt, where children can follow clues, solve puzzles, and collect delicious chocolate treats along the way.

The farm will once again come alive with adorable newborn lambs with Lambing Live, giving visitors the chance to meet piglets, lambs, chicks and more up close.

YorkMix‘s Laura and Leigh paid a special visit to Piglets Adventure Farm to have a go at feeding one of the baby lambs, Twinkle, with very cute results! Take a look in our video below.

New and returning attractions will ensure there is something for everyone, from interactive shows and tractor rides to indoor play areas and outdoor adventure zones. The Easter Bunny will also be making special appearances throughout the event, ready for photos and magical moments with younger guests.

Sarah Sykes, co-owner of Piglets Adventure Farm, said: “We are incredibly proud to be celebrating 22 years of our Easter Eggstravaganza.

“It is amazing to look back at how it all began and see how much it has grown, while still keeping that same family spirit at its heart.

“We now welcome families who first visited us as children, which is really special. Each year we try to add something new while keeping those traditions people love.”
