A resident of Saxton near Sherburn in Elmet disturbed people trying to steal items from a garage.
Police are appealing for witnesses and information following the attempted burglary.
It happened on Hungate Close sometime between 1.10am and 1.40am on Sunday (22 March), and involved three suspects.
They are particularly interested in speaking to anyone who may have seen the suspects in the area around this time or has CCTV or doorbell footage of the incident.
Additionally, they are asking the residents of Saxton to be vigilant and to ensure that their vehicles and properties are locked and secure.
