A highly-rated fine dining restaurant in North Yorkshire is to close at the end of the month.
The Old Deanery in Ripon will continue to offer overnight stays as well as host weddings and other events.
But the restaurant – which has a 4.8/5 rating on TripAdvisor will shut.

It’s part of the Layton Hill Hotel group, which also operates Galtres Lodge hotel and its Forest restaurant in York.
Owner Rebecca Layton explained the decision to close the Old Deanery restaurant on social media.
She said: “After almost two and a half years, the fine dining restaurant at The Old Deanery will be doing its last service on Friday 31st July.
“It has been an incredible few years, but the time has come to go back to our roots and focus on different areas of the business. Thank you to all our guests, past, present and future – what an amazing ride it has been!
“Tables are still available between now and 31st July. Booked weddings and events will still go ahead as arranged.”

Gift cards can still be used against overnight stays and breakfast, and they are also redeemable at the York site, Galtres Lodge hotel and Forest restaurant. Otherwise, they can be refunded.
Diners were sad to hear the news. One said: “What a shame. Our evening meal and personal attention we was given by head chef Adam Jackson and the sommelier was the outstanding memory from our overnight stay at the Old Deanery.”
Another wrote: “That is so sad, we had one of our best ever meals at your restaurant, for my birthday in May. We are gutted that you are closing but wish you all success for the future.”
And a regular said: “To head chef Adam Jackson and his brilliant team, what amazing, inspiring and memorable culinary dishes you have created! The best tasting menu! Had some fabulous dining experiences. Thank you.”
