A crash on the A64 in York caused delays this afternoon (Saturday).
Three vehicles collided on the eastbound carriageway between Bishopthorpe and Fulford.
Emergency services were called to the scene at 12.13pm.
At one point there were seven miles of jams, and 90 minute delays.
By 2.44pm the road was fully reopened.
A North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service spokesperson said: “A crew from Acomb responded to reports of a three-vehicle road traffic collision.
“All occupants were out of their vehicles and one car was smoking. Crew carried out scene safety only.”
