Firefighters have put out three fires in York that were started deliberately last night (Sunday).
They were first called out at 6.14pm to an incident near Lawrence Street.
A North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service spokesperson said: “A crew from Acomb responded to a fire believed to had been set alight deliberately in a forestry area. Crews used small tools to extinguish the fire.”
Then a crew from York were called back to Lawrence Street at 8.05pm. A commercial bin had been set on fire.
Finally, York firefighters went to Foss Islands Road at 8.36pm.
The service spokesperson said: “A crew from York responded to small fire believed to had been set alight deliberately. Crews used a hose reel jet to extinguish the fire.”
