Three people have been arrested following a burglary at the Aagrah restaurant site on the A64 near Tadcaster in the early hours of this morning (Weds 17 June).
At approximately 12:49am, Police received reports of a disturbance at the property.
Officers arrived at the site where three people were seen leaving the area in a vehicle travelling without lights.
The vehicle was pursued by officers and brought to a stop in Tadcaster.
A search of the car uncovered a number of items, including two knives, a quantity of gold-coloured metal and light fittings, as well as a balaclava and other tools.
A 25-year-old man, a 19-year-old man, and a 17-year-old have since been arrested on suspicion of burglary.
