A crew from Malton tackled a fire that was started deliberately last night (Sunday).
They were called to Lowfield Road in the town at 7.41pm.
A North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service spokesperson said: “Malton attended a fire in a wooded area consisting of an old tent and sleeping bags.

“Crews extinguished the fire using buckets of water and earth. The cause of the fire was deliberate.”
