Police are seeking witnesses after a crash which left a BMW on its roof in Selby.
It happened at 12.15am Saturday 8 November on Ousegate and involved a silver BMW X3 SUV.
The BMW ‘flipped over’, and the driver fled the scene. No other vehicles were involved
The 32-year-old man, from Pontefract, was found nearby and arrested. He was taken to hospital as a precautionary measure.
He was discharged with no injuries and has been released under investigation for driving over the prescribed limit of alcohol.
A North Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: “The road was closed for one hour while we investigated the scene and to allow the vehicle involved to be recovered.
“We’re appealing for any witnesses to the collision, anyone who may have seen the vehicle prior to the collision, or anyone with relevant dashcam or CCTV footage, to contact us.”
