A York resident discovered a masked burglar inside their home this weekend.

The thief, wearing a face mask, had gained entry to the property on Nunnery Lane through the front door between 7.20-7.35am on Saturday (9 October).

After he was disturbed by the resident, he fled on a black bicycle with a ‘battered’ blue seat.
