A crash closed the A19 north of York this afternoon (Thursday).
North Yorkshire Police reported a collision on the road near Shipton by Beningbrough at 12.43pm.
It was shut between Sunnyside and Chapman’s Lane, near Brooke’s Garage.

A North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service spokesperson said: “Crews from York and Acomb responded to a three vehicle road traffic collision.
“All persons were out on arrival and crews made the vehicles safe. The incident was left in the hands of the police.”
The road has since reopened.
