Amanda Owen, aka the Yorkshire Shepherdess, will be signing copies of her very first children’s book in York this weekend.
The collection of festive short stories, Christmas Tales from the Farm, is aimed at young readers aged 7-11, and inspired by Amanda’s real life family adventures with her nine children at Ravenseat, their 2000-acre hill farm in North Yorkshire.
Amanda will be in attendance at childrens’ specialist bookshop The Blue House Bookshop on Bootham, York, on Saturday 13 December from 4pm.
The debut of her first children’s book follows the success of her five bestselling Yorkshire Shepherdess books, as well as being known to millions for starring on Channel 5’s Our Yorkshire Farm series with her family.
The ‘heartwarming’ collection of stories will feature adventures inspired by all the countryside characters – both two legged and four! From runaway reindeer who caused mischief on the moors, to some very special chickens who needed a kind new home, and a clever sheepdog who found something lost in the snow.
Christmas Tales from the Farm is available in hardcover print, e-book and audiobook formats.
It can be purchased via retailers such as Amazon, Waterstones, Blackwells, Foyles, Fox Lane Books, and directly from The Blue House Bookshop.
