Brew York’s signature beer will take centre stage in the smash-hit West End musical, The Choir of Man, as it barrels into York this month.
The Olivier Award-nominated show is partway through its first-ever UK and Ireland tour, and will open at the Grand Opera House York on Tuesday 30 June.
Set in an on-stage pub called The Jungle, The Choir of Man is ‘the best trip to your local you’ll ever have’.
And the working on-stage pub will be serving Brew York’s Czech style Pilsner ‘Golden Eagle’ as the Jungle’s house beer for the week – so expect a few in-show surprises that feature the popular York beer!
Allie Long, theatre director at Grand Opera House York, said, “The Choir of Man presents us with an incredible opportunity to collaborate further with Brew York, providing a platform and fun way to showcase one of the city’s finest beers.
“I can’t wait to see how audiences engage with the on-stage collaboration, in what is a unique experience for theatre goers, as well as being able to enjoy their beer year round from our bars.”
Nic Doodson, director and co-creator of The Choir of Man said, “At its heart, The Choir of Man is a celebration of community, so partnering with a local independent business like Brew York feels like a perfect fit.
“We love finding ways to connect each tour stop with the people and places that make it unique, and we’re delighted to be bringing a little extra York flavour into our pub, The Jungle, for the week.”
Don’t miss your chance to see the smash hit jukebox musical that features hits from artists such as Queen, Luther Vandross, Sia, Adele, Guns & Roses, Avicii and Katy Perry to name but a few.
The show runs at the Grand Opera House York from Tuesday 30 June to Saturday 4 July. Tickets start from £15.60 and are available here.
