A new burger restaurant is set to open in York this month.
Craft Burger specialises in the ‘ultimate smash experience’, serving up smash burgers, stir-fry doner, loaded fries, buttermilk chicken, and desserts like pancake stacks and cookie dough.
The new eatery will open at 85 Clarence Street in York, which was previously home to the Thai restaurant The Monkey and the Dog Eat Thai.

The popular burger brand announced that is was opening a York location via social media, revealing that it was coming to the city in May, with an exact opening date still to be announced.
The announcement received a positive response, with one person commenting on the news ‘This is mega!’ and other writing ‘Ahhh I’m ready!’
Craft Burger use UK-sourced fresh Angus beef to create their burgers, ‘to create a unique and mouthwatering flavour’ and they aim to ‘push the boundaries of burger creativity.’
The Middlesbrough-based brand was founded in 2020 and has locations across the North East, including South Shields, Sunderland, Manchester and Salford – and has also expanded internationally to the city of Lahore in Pakistan.
Now, the smash-burger spot is set to open soon in York.
