Police make drugs arrests in York during an unrelated enquiry

Four people suspected of being involved in county lines drug dealing are in custody after they were arrested at a property in York last night.

On Wednesday evening (3 December) officers working on an unrelated enquiry went to a property in Tuke Avenue where four men were present.

On entering the house, officers found suspected cocaine and drug dealing paraphernalia along with an amount of cash.

The four men were arrested on suspicion of drug supply offences including a 49-year-old man from York arrested on suspicion of supplying class A drugs.

A 38-year-old man from York arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of class A drugs.

A 22-year-old man from Selby arrested on suspicion of possessing class B drugs and being concerned in the supply of class A drugs.

And a 23-year-old man from Leeds arrested on suspicion of supplying class A drugs.

They remain in custody at this time.

Police say dealing harms communities and fuels organised crime which impacts on everyone, including vulnerable people and children.
