Police called in after deliberate fire in York suburb

Another fire was started deliberately in York last night (Sunday).

Firefighters were called to Water End at 9.56pm.

A North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service spokesperson said: “A crew from Acomb attended a small fire in the open that had been started deliberately.

“Crews used a bucket of water to extinguish the fire, and details were passed to the police.”
