Police have called off their search for a missing person after the discovery of a body.
Earlier today, we reported that the search for a Norfolk man had been extended to North Yorkshire.
Officers were searching for Andrew Bolton, 38, who was last seen at his home in Norfolk on Thursday (12 February).
It was believed he may be staying in hotels or guest houses in the Whitby area.
This evening, North Yorkshire Police issued this update: “The search for missing Norfolk man Andrew Bolton, 38, has been called off following the discovery of a body in the Whitby area earlier today (Monday).
“Mr Bolton’s family have been informed.
“We thank everyone who has supported the missing person appeal.”
