A film crew has been at work in York for most of today (Tuesday).
They have been based by the riverside – and on the river.
Filming and other equipment has been stored on South Esplanade, near Tower Gardens.
And much of the work today has centred on a City Cruises York boat travelling along the Ouse.
This morning, while blocking out a scene, an actor dressed as a captain was seen to frisk a woman actor coming on board the boat.
Later, calls of ‘Action’ could be heard by onlookers on the river bank, as scenes were played out on the boat close to St Peter’s School.
Sections of the back of the boat are covered with a black backing cloth.
While no details of the production have been released, one woman told YorkMix it was for a major drama to be screened on Netflix.
