Part of a popular York shop is closed off after a weather-related incident.
There’s a sign in Boyes on Goodramgate warning customers: “Due to unforeseen circumstances this part of the shop is closed.
“Sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.”

The problem happened during a heavy downpour late yesterday afternoon.
Rain started to come through the ceiling.
A customer in the store told YorkMix: “Water was pouring in and eventually brought down part of the ceiling.

“Staff closed the store.”
They had to mop up the water and cordon off the affected area of the shop on the ground floor. Boyes opened as normal today.
