Arsonists who set fire to a barn and a caravan caused a “a significant risk to the public”.
Police say it happened at around 3.30pm yesterday in a field near Strikes Garden Centre and Breakspeare Garth in Northallerton.
A North Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: “A group of youths are believed to have set fires using aerosol cans, causing damage to a caravan and a barn.

“This behaviour created a significant risk to the public and has resulted in considerable damage.”
Several bicycles and scooters were left at the scene. These have been taken to Northallerton Police Station.
“They can be collected by the owners, but a parent or guardian must attend with them,” the spokesperson said.
Police are asking for witnesses, people who can identify those involved or anyone with video footage to get in touch.
