Fire crews were called to a fire in a York play park last night (Saturday).
It happened on Sowerby Road at 9.49pm.
Firefighters from Acomb went to the incident. A North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service spokesperson said: “Crews located a small fire consisting of a mattress and pieces of timber.
“Crews extinguished the fire using a back pack sprayer and small tools.”
