A man was attacked as he walked along a York street early in the morning.
It happened at 6.45am last Friday, 5 December on Charlton Street, off Bishopthorpe Road.
The victim, a man in his mid-60s, was walking on the street “when he has encountered a male in his 20s who appeared to be under the influence of drink or drugs,” a North Yorkshire Police spokesperson said.

“This male has kicked the victim in the leg causing him to lose balance and almost fall to the ground before making further threats.”
He then walked off in the direction of Fenwick Street having come from Bishopthorpe Road.
The man is described as
- white
- about 6ft tall
- with a strong build
- clean shaven
- with short light brown hair
- wearing jeans and a dark top with no jacket.
Police are asking anyone living in the area to check their doorbell cameras to see if they can provide any footage of the man.
