A Malton man will appear in court next week charged with murder.
Lisa Welford, 49, was pulled out of the River Derwent at Malton on 24 April and taken to hospital by ambulance, but she was sadly later pronounced dead.
Five days later Vincent Joseph Morgan of Chandlers Wharf, Castlegate, was charged with her murder.
Morgan, 47, has already appeared before York magistrates.
He is due at Leeds Crown Court on Monday (18 November) in a trial adjourned from 21 October.
