A man who was attacked after leaving a York pub may need surgery to his injuries.
It happened at about 1.20am on Sunday, 5 October.
The victim left the Three Cranes on St Sampson’s Square and walked onto Church Street where he was struck in the face by an unknown man.

He suffered multiple injuries, including a fractured eye socket and bruising to the back of the head.
A North Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: “The victim was treated in hospital for a head injury.
“He has since been discharged from hospital but is awaiting to hear whether surgery is required.
“We’re particularly appealing for information about witnesses to the incident as we are aware numerous people stopped to assist the victim.”
