A man has died in a car crash near Selby today (Sunday).
It happened at about 6am this morning on Greenlands Lane near Thorpe Willoughby.
A black Mercedes CLA 250 left the road. Sadly, the driver, a man in his 20s, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The man’s family have been informed and are receiving support from specialist officers.
A North Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: “The road was closed for several hours while we investigated the scene and to allow the vehicle involved to be recovered.
“We’re appealing for any witnesses to the collision, anyone who may have seen the vehicle prior to the collision, or anyone with relevant dashcam footage who has not had contact with officers to get in touch.”
