With the hottest temperatures forecast for Wednesday 24 June and Thursday 25 June, LNER now strongly recommends that you do not travel on their route from North Yorkshire to/from London on those dates.
For safety reasons, Network Rail may need to introduce speed restrictions in certain parts of the country on these dates, increasing journey times and reducing the number of train services they are able to operate.
This could also affect Hull Trains at Selby and Grand Central at Thirsk and Northallerton as well as other operators.
This is the current advice from LNER
