Police have launched an investigation after a knife was brought into a North Yorkshire school.
Officers say there was no danger to the other students or the staff.
A North Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: “Police are investigating after a gardening knife was found inside a secondary school student’s bag on 2 March.
“The knife was found by school staff when they carried out a bag-check. No one was threatened or injured.
“The knife was confiscated and safeguarding measures have been put in place.
“The incident remains under investigation.”
