Get ready for an unmissable weekend of speed – as Speed Show returns to Elvington for a full-throttle weekend of family entertainment.
The two-day event will be bringing the adrenaline and action back to Elvington Airfield on Saturday 28 February and Sunday 1 March 2026, with a whole weekend of drag racing action, headline vehicles, stunts and family-friendly attractions – all celebrating ‘everything that goes fast in a straight line.’

Set across the iconic airfield venue just outside of York, Speed Show brings together an eclectic mix of high-performance machines – from drag racers and motorbikes to jet cars and supercars – plus interactive experiences, displays in heated marquees, and entertainment designed to keep the whole family engaged all day.
Here’s what visitors can expect at Speed Show 26:
- Huge display of speed machines – explore an eclectic mix of vehicles on display in heated marquees
- Live drag racing action – watch 100-metre drag races up close, with 50+ vehicles taking to the track
- Charity passenger rides (Sunday) – ride along in American police cars, supercars and more, supporting Candlelighters Child Cancer Charity
- Motorbike stunt show (Sunday) – JD Stunts brings precision bike control and crowd-wowing skills
- Jet car displays – experience the intensity of a jet car flame display, showcasing the raw power of jet engines
- Monster truck rides – climb aboard and ride shotgun in a monster truck
- Traders and vendors – a haven for speed enthusiasts, with a wide range of motorsport and automotive stalls
“Speed Show is all about putting the audience right at the heart of the action – big noise, big atmosphere, and a proper family day out,” said event organiser Trevor Duckworth.
“Whether you’re coming for the racing, the stunts, or the chance to get up close to the machines, this is the perfect way to kick-start 2026.”
