Items worth £8,900 stolen in York burglary

Burglars got away with goods worth almost £9K after targeting a home in York.

The theft happened on Melton Avenue, off Rawcliffe Lane, between the hours of 11pm on Sunday and 8am yesterday (Monday, 17 July).

A white Husqvarna FE350 motor cross bike, with the registration number CY68 FJD, was stolen from a garage.

Thieves also took power tools and a mountain bike. The items are worth a total of about £8,900.

A North Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: “Officers are appealing for information from anyone who saw anything suspicious in the area at the time of the incident or may have details about the stolen motor cross bike.”
