A raid in York led to the confiscation of a “large quantity” of illegal cigarettes.
Police and trading standards conducted the operation.
Specialist counterfeit detection dogs were also involved.

Officers executed a warrant at a premises on Clarence Street.
A North Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: “As a result of the operation, a large mixed quantity of illegal tobacco products was located and seized by officers.
“This joint work helps protect local communities, tackle organised criminal activity, and prevent the sale of unsafe and illegal goods.”
