Hundreds of homes in York were left without electricity tonight (Wednesday).
The power cut was reported by many shortly before 10pm.
Areas affected include Haxby, Wigginton, New Earswick and Clifton.
Some experienced a very brief blackout, others waited hours to be reconnected.
Northern Powergrid said it hoped to have people reconnected by 11.30pm although it could take until midnight.
Power has now been restored to all affected homes.
