Firefighters called in after water poured into a house in Selby discovered a major leak in the property next door.
The occupants of a home off Flaxley Road called the fire service at 8.43pm last night (Sunday)
They said water was coming through their wall from the neighbours’ property.
A North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service spokesperson said: “Entry was gained to the house and crews found a severe water leak coming from the loft area.
“This had brought ceilings down in the house and leaked through the wall leading it to be discovered.
“The crew from Selby isolated the electricity supply and Yorkshire Water attended to isolate the water supply.”
