A home on a York street was set on fire while the occupier was on holiday.
At 6.30pm last night, a fire investigation officer investigated the incident on White Cross Road, off Haxby Road.
The officer “attended a report of a fire at a property which had occurred whilst the occupier was on holiday,” a North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service spokesperson said.
“He carried out an inspection to establish the cause of the fire, which was believed to be deliberate.”
