Grand Opera House York announce their pantomime for next year

Fly away to Neverland next Christmas – as the Grand Opera House announce their pantomime for 2026.

It’s Peter Pan – oh yes it is – but with a twist!

The theatre have revealed that their next pantomime will be The Further Adventures of Peter Pan: The Return of Captain Hook.

The news comes ahead of the of this year’s magical pantomime opening tomorrow, Cinderella, which runs from Saturday 6 December 2025 to Sunday 4 January 2026.

The Further Adventures of Peter Pan: The Return of Captain Hook will run from Saturday 5 December 2026 to Sunday 3 January 2027.

Tickets go on sale on Monday 8 December for ATG+ card holders, and general sale on Tuesday 9 December. There will be an early bird offer which will be available until 1 February.

Join Peter, Smee, Tinker Bell, Emily Darling and Ethel the Mermaid on a brand-new adventure full of audience interaction, incredible flying effects, giggles galore and…of course, crocodiles.

Life has been smooth sailing for Peter Pan since he defeated Captain Hook… or so he thought. Whispers are spreading that the notorious Hook survived those stormy seas and is out for revenge. Could it be true? Watch out… he might be right behind you!

It will once again be produced by UK Productions, with a script by Jon Monie – writer of this year’s production of Cinderella and winner of Best Script at the Great British Pantomime Awards 2019.

‘Star casting’ for The Further Adventures of Peter Pan: The Return of Captain Hook is to be announced.

And there’s still time to go to the ball and get your tickets for Cinderella – that stars Coronation Street‘s Lisa George, winner of ITV’s Mamma Mia! I Have A Dream Tobias Turley, and West End talents Rachel Grundy, Luke Attwood and Brandon Nicholson.
