Police are hunting a gang who tried to steal an e-bike from three “very frightened” children.
The incident happened in Cliffe, a quiet village near Selby, at about 6.15pm on Monday (2 March).
The youngsters were approached at the junction of Main Street, Hull Road and Turnham Lane.

A North Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: “It involved five men in two silver-coloured vehicles – a pick up truck and a van – attempting to steal a Revvi e-bike from three children.
“The victims were unharmed, but understandably very frightened.
“Police house-to-house and CCTV enquiries are ongoing. We’re particularly appealing for information about any person who may have seen the two vehicles, or witnessed the incident itself.”
The suspects are described as white men aged in their 20s to 30s.
