Two children got well and truly stuck last night (Saturday).
They went to leave a bedroom – and found they couldn’t.
After trying and failing to free them, the home owner called the fire service to their home on York Road, Green Hammerton at 8.01pm.
A North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service spokesperson said: “A crew from Acomb responded to a report of two children who had become locked in a bedroom due to a faulty door mechanism.
“Crews released the children from the room using small tools. Advice was given to the home owner.”
